How to remove your email signature from text messages
Automatically remove email signatures from your text messages using simple stop commands
TextBetter looks for specific words or symbols—called stop commands—within your email.
When a stop command is detected, TextBetter will send everything above it as a text message and ignore everything below it, such as your signature or disclaimer.
For Example → “]” = stop command

💡 Pro Tip:
TextBetter comes with a series of default stop commands built in, which means in many cases, no action is needed—your existing email signature likely already includes a phrase like “Thanks” or “Regards.” When detected, TextBetter automatically uses this as the cutoff point and excludes everything that follows.
How It Works
To ensure your email signature is not included in your text message, add a stop command to tell TextBetter where to stop reading your email. You can place the stop command in one of two ways:
Option 1: Add after your message
Place the stop command at the end of your message:
Savannah, did you get my voicemail? ]
Option 2: Add above your signature
Place the stop command directly above your signature block:
]

Customizing Stop Commands
Stop commands can be updated at any time by your account administrator.
You can add new phrases your team commonly uses, remove or edit existing ones, and customize behavior to match your email style.
