The Global Administrator finalizes Enterprise Set Up by selecting Complete in the Authorization email and then logging in with Microsoft Enterprise Global Administrator credentials
1. Grant Consent
As the Global Admin, you should have received the below email by now.
Once you have clicked the COMPLETE button you will be authenticated with Microsoft OAUTH login. You need to login and grant permissions using the credentials of the Microsoft Enterprise Global Admin. After permissions are granted you will end up on the Enterprise portal dashboard.
For more information around consent/permissions, click here.
2. Sync User Groups
- On the initial login to the Enterprise Portal, the enterprise Enterprise Administrator will be redirected to the User Group Sync page to perform a “User/Group Sync” so that the Users will be populated with the intended user groups. See
The Teams connector operates by synchronizing Users from Teams and storing certain user data in the ConnecttoTeams database, so that Users can be managed from TextBetter's ConnecttoTeams Portal.
The User Groups Sync feature allows enterprise administrators to restrict the users that are synchronized to the database based on Microsoft Groups. Only Users that belong to specified groups will be imported. This feature works with Security Groups, Dynamic Groups and Office 365 Groups (as those terms as defined by Microsoft).
Note: All Users and All Company groups were removed from the available groups to select because these groups are defined by Microsoft and are not reliably up-to-date and may omit users. If you previously selected one of these groups you should remove it from the selected group list.
- When setting up a new Enterprise, the enterprise Global Administrator must explicitly choose whether Group Sync will be utilized.
- If no Group(s) are selected, then all Users of the enterprise will be synchronized. If any Group(s) are selected, then only Users that belong to the Group(s) will be synchronized. The Portal WILL NOT synchronize or store Users that are not part of the selected Group(s).
The image below shows a case where two Microsoft Groups (Accounting and Billing) have been selected to be synchronized.
If you do not find the expected users in the ConnecttoTeams portal, ensure that the Group(s) you selected contain those user(s). Note that it may take time for a user assignment to a Group to propagate through Microsoft.
- After the first login, the User Group Sync settings can be accessed from the Sync User Groups button on User Management page.
Next Steps
Once the user sync is performed the next step is for TextBetter number provisioning. This does not require any further assistance from the enterprise Global Administrator.
