How to reverse opt-outs

How recipients opt back in to resume text messaging with your business

The only way to remove a number from your company-wide opt-out list is for the recipient to opt back in.

To do this, the recipient must send a text message to any of your text-enabled numbers with one of the following keywords:

START or OPTIN


What happens after a recipient opts back in?

  • The number is automatically removed from your opt-out list
  • Messaging is restored, and your team can resume sending texts
  • The recipient receives a confirmation message:

“Thanks for signing up to receive SMS messages! Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.”


How to view your opt-in and opt-out lists

To view or export your lists at any time:

Admin Portal → Compliance → Reports → Opt-In or Opt-Out Report
